UFO
- Complete Episode

One full episode of the classic TV series landing on a small screen near you

Listen up, it's the distant future (1980, actually) and aliens keep showing up and kidnapping people. Luckily, someone's set up a defence department beneath a London film studio that's going to save the world only for some reason, nobody is allowed to know about it. So all the employees have to double as film studio employees to keep things under wraps. That's premise behind UFO, which was a hit TV series in the seventies for its creator Gerry Anderson because of the great special effects, creative stories, ace actors and sexy female operatives.

Missing in action The show was conceived in 1968 and first broadcast in 1970. It's set in 1985, and features thought-provoking storylines and powerful performances by stars Ed Bishop, George Sewell, Michael Billington and Wanda Ventham. And now we've got the very first episode on this month's DVD. The crew is setting up the command station and getting things straight, and it's a perfect taster for the full series that's being released by Carlton Video on VHS and DVD this spring. There's a special collector's four-DVD digi-pack edition that contains the entire series. If you buy it, look out for several bloopers, such as some of the characters suddenly disappearing in the last nine episodes, because a shooting gap that lasted six months meant many of the actors got other jobs.

Getting Started

UFO can be watched by placing your PC Format DVD in to your DVD player where it should start automatically.
